sereneA couple more details on my not-a-heart-attack yesterday: The neuritis was apparently an artifact of the injury from my thyroid incision. The doctor's exact words were, "The good news is it's not your heart. Still, don't ignore this. If it happens again and lasts longer than ten minutes or so, call an advice nurse." So I'm a little less embarrassed than if it had just been gas or something, but I'd rather be embarrassed than dead any day, so no big deal.
