Okay, so there's a free-food reception (see below) on Friday evening of FOGcon. I'm thinking alt.polyflock post-free-food coffee/drinks/small-foods gathering. We can sip the sips of our choice, get dessert/food as we like, and get caught up (or meet the lurkers or whatever.)
How is everyone with that? If I don't see any objections by this Sunday, I'll just go with it.
[RA WINOLJ], and any other locals, do you have any suggestions for where to go?
(Quoting the latest con update on the reception: "Because of a very advantageous arrangement we made with the hotel, we are delighted to announce that we will be hosting a take-off party with a delightful array of free hors d’oeuvres and munchies. (This is not code for a bowl of potato chips and a carrot stick. This will be real appetizers and some main-dish type foods, in sufficient quantity for hungry science fiction fans. If you’re a light eater, it will probably count as dinner.) We’ll announce the exact time, and maybe the menu, in our last progress report before the convention.")
