(And can I say that it's nice to be employed and have money for groceries? It hasn't been all that long since I couldn't say that.)

Got my ass off my chair and put on the leopard-print dress. Fixed my hair up pretty. Hopped in the car and drove to the organic grocery. Bought a buncha cool stuff, including a watermelon. Wait -- where's the watermelon? I don't remember bringing it up.

*goes to look for the watermelon* Ah, in the sink.

Anyway, also bought tempeh and tofu and seitan and tandoori noodles and salad stuff and potatoes (red and sweet) and lemons and a tomato and an avocado and two carrots and some other stuff I can't remember. It was *so* fun.

Attempted (unsuccessfully) to flirt with the lovely six-foot-tall woman I let cut in line. Drove home in my Privilege (also known as the Corolla) and now I'm sitting at the computer eating (mediocre) tandoori noodles and salad and drinking orange juice.

Clothes shopping only feels good to me if I have plenty of money (preferably other people's money) to spend. Food shopping *always* feels good.

Calm down, darlin'. Just noodles with tandoori sauce on them (they throw in some veggies and some "unchicken", but I got them for the sauce, which I love on seitan, but which fell flat on noodles.)

Ah. Hrm. Will have to try them when I'm back in the land of people who habitually drive over the speed limit.

hmmm--"tandoori sauce" doesn't form a picture (taste?) for me----i think tandoori, i think "style of cooking" not "sauce." is it that same thing that turns tandoori chicken red? anyway, i'm sorry that it wasn't as yummy as hoped.

one of ayana's and my "order delivered food from fairly frequently" restaurants has a noodle dish that, when the chef we like does it, is addictive and i think even vegan. it's noodles, peanut sauce, a little bit of chili sauce to give it more zip, sesame seeds and green onions. too yummy and absolutely unreproduceable at home thus far (ask me how i know).
