Today was pretty restful for me. Popped out of bed at 5:30, a half hour before the alarm, which as it turned out wasn't set, so that's good right there. Bused to stonebender/loracs/dbubley's place in record time. Did a little cooking and a little Betty-time; spent some low-maintenance time with wild_irises, then with stonebender, watching videos or vegging out in front of our computers; read about three quarters of Zelazny's Doorways in the Sand and about half of the APA that stonebender and wild_irises write in; ate and drank more than is my wont, but I tend that way when I'm here; got a sweet call from the kid, who is all registered for college and is working on getting her financial aid stuff straightened out. Gave her permission to thaw the off-limits freezer stash of meat, so she made sloppy joes for herself and james_huber.

Betty wakes from time to time, but mostly, tonight, she dozes. I'm a little caffeinated, so it may be a while before I sleep myself; when I'm here, I've been mostly sleeping during the afternoons so that I'm available to be awake for her at night. Whenever she wakes to see me, she smiles and says "Hey, Serene!" like she's really happy to see me. I am glad that having me here is okay with her, because it's the kind of thing that really feeds me. I don't have a lot of money or resources to share with people, but I have time and love and cooking, and I'm glad I've been able to share that.
