Catching up
Aug. 14th, 2011 03:05 pmThanks to James, I'm typing this on a nifty bluetooth keyboard connected to his work iPad, while reclining in my comfy chair. The iPad is on the arm of the chair; the keyboard is on my knee. We're living in the future, my darlings.
Buttermilk pancakes for breakfast; stuffed peppers and cheesy/tomatoey garlic bread for lunch. I'll make chiles rellenos for dinner if I'm still feeling cookish. Otherwise, I'll send James out for something yummy for dinner, since we don't have a ton of dinnerish things in the house.
One month until I take the GRE. About a week after that, I start school. What was left of my social life is really truly about to go away. I don't actually feel sad about that at all, but I do wish I had the energy for both school and a social life. Since I barely manage social stuff as it is, though, that would probably involve being a different person, or suddenly being able-bodied again.
However, I want to keep up with you all, to the extent that I'm able. I intend to post here and to the food blog at least weekly. And I intend to go to the hot tub at least once a month, and perhaps more often. I hope I'll be able to stay connected in those ways, but email is also a wonderful thing, so if you happen to want to touch base with me, please shoot me an email. Also, if I owe you email or money or a book or anything, please pipe up; I'd like to enter the school year as caught up as possible.

Date: 2011-08-14 10:47 pm (UTC)Re books: I think you may owe me a Jewish vegetarian cookbook? *searches mail* Ah, it was this post http://serene.dreamwidth.org/27141.html?thread=56069#t56069 But if it's gone elsewhere (or if it got sent to an address I no longer live at), no worries.
