(The baby steps are at this FlyLady link.) I'm adding "(and do 15 minutes of decluttering)" to every day's tasks, because until I get rid of the clutter, I'll never get on top of the cleaning.

Day One: Shine the sink
Day Two: Get dressed to lace-up shoes
Day Three: Read FlyLady BigTent emails
Day Four: Look at sticky note (in bathroom and kitchen)
Day Five: Write down negative things you're saying to yourself, then write down positive stuff to counter that
Day Six: Spend two minutes on a Hot Spot
Day Seven: Pick out clothes for tomorrow
Day Eight: Make binder for control journal
Day Nine: Add a five-minute room rescue to your Morning Routine.
Day Ten: Set your timer for 15 minutes and go gather up all the trash you can find to throw away and put it in the garbage can outside. Then set your timer for another 15 minutes and sit down and put your feet up and read a favorite magazine until the timer goes off.
Day Eleven: Spend 15 minutes writing down some of your favorite inspirational phrases on a new Control Journal page.
Day Twelve: Delete from your inbox all the e-mails from FlyLady.
Day Thirteen: Find one of Kelly’s missions and go and do it.
Day Fourteen: Today, go read the essay that Kelly wrote about using a calendar.

Day Fifteen: On our new week of FLYing, you are going to add making your bed to your morning routine. If you will do this as soon as your feet hit the floor, you are less likely to forget it!

Okay, done. Kind of makes me want a nicer summer blanket, though. Ours is kind of college-aged-kid-ish.

I had a low-energy day today, but I did everything on my list anyway. I didn't take photos, and I stopped the SECOND the timer went off, but hey, good enough. My house looks so good that I didn't want to take a "day off" because hey, it's less than an hour's work, and it keeps things in order. Who am I these days? I don't even recognize myself! :-)

I am SO impressed. It sometimes takes me half an hour just to bring the kitchen back to reasonable in the morning. (That includes emptying the dishwasher, washing dishes that weren't put in it, cleaning the cooker (hob) and work surfaces (the bits I can see, not clearing everything off and properly cleaning, which I can't remember when I last did)). I really need to take time out to clean out my fridge and my cutlery drawer, but keep putting it off. Maybe today I'll do one of those jobs. I have been making the bed most days for a while because it makes me feel so much better when I come back into the bedroom. Unless David's been in it again, which happens often as he has a habit of using the bedroom to do stuff on his laptop or even going for naps during the day.

All the more credit to you for the huge difference you are making in your home! I did do about half the fridge today - I did the door racks and the veggie drawer, but haven't attempted the other shelves yet - it was starting to get hot in the kitchen. Our kitchen gets the morning sun and has lots of glass so gets very hot in the summer during the heat of the day. *hugs* for you too. :-)
