Wednesday media consumption roundup
Jan. 25th, 2017 07:16 pmI can't believe it's only Wednesday. This week is dragging, like whoa.
No spoilers in post; possible spoilers in comments.
Reading
I'm reading Wild Seed, by Octavia Butler, and loving it, along with This Year You Write Your Novel, by Walter Mosley, about which I'm reserving judgment. I don't think I read anything between Obelisk Gate and this, but the week's a blur.
I feel sad that I wasn't exposed to Butler when I was young. I would have fangirled all the way home.
Watching
Not much. I'm working on the Resistance Manual, so I'm not doing much plain goofing off when I'm online. I did watch "Waitress" (the movie) because I love the musical soundtrack and wanted to be more familiar with the story. It was good, if hard for me to watch in places. I hadn't realized Nathan Fillion was in it. Not a huge fan, but I think he did a good job. And what have I seen Jeremy Sisto in? He also did a good job, but he's also not someone I am hugely a fan of.
Listening
"Waitress" soundtrack -- it has replaced Hamilton as my source of constant earworms. Welcome to club knocked up!
NPR
"Hamilton" soundtrack
Some Tiny Desk Concerts
A little bit of Pandora and radio, but not much
Playing
Still just Two Dots and Dots & Co. They keep adding little side adventures that keep it fun for me. I guess I should be glad that I'm still into these games after so long, but it's almost embarrassing. (Just almost.)
