noelfigart, but I've seen it on several other people's journals. I like it.
1. What do I do that annoys you?
2. What do I do that you appreciate?
Was gonna make this friends-only, but what the hell.

Date: 2002-08-21 11:11 am (UTC)2. you are direct about how you feel. you let those who you love know that you love them. you look out for the emotions of the people around you. you know how to apologize. you are open to new ideas and new ways of thinking about things.
that second answer is just off the top of my head. i could come up with more stuff fairly easily.
gee that makes me feel like giving you a big *smooch* and telling you how glad i am that you are in my life.

I do appreciate the thougtful postcards that occassionally pop into my mailbox, and the way that you share your time and your adoration of both your city and cpc. Its so open and genuine. Makes me all warm and fuzzy just thinking about it.

[Quick cute-poet-chick story that this reminded me of. Last night, we were watching the Simon & Garfunkel Concert in Central Park on PBS, and they were singing "American Tune." At the identical moment (after we'd both hesitated a while for fear of ruining the song), we turned to each other and said in unison "This is so 9-Eleven." We laughed and kissed and said how perfect we are for each other, and it made me feel (perhaps irrationally) that all our troubles are nothing compared to how much we truly adore each other.]
I'm glad I asked for this input from people. I hope no one's pulling any punches in the annoyance area, but even if they are, I'm really grateful for all the strokes I've gotten as a result.
And in case it's not already obvious, you totally rock my world, as well. :-)

Date: 2002-08-21 01:21 pm (UTC)you do lots of things i appreciate. the ones that stand out to me the most -- your activism isn't loud and obnoxiously patronizing, it's quiet but firm, and that means it actually makes me pay attention. and you take your relationship with CPC very seriously even though you are so different, and you are trying to find ways to accept those differences, and you do it with grace. that just astounds me, and reminds me that i want to be more tolerant of differences than i am (it's a work in progress).

Date: 2002-08-21 02:48 pm (UTC)Answers to #2: You've made me rethink my use of the word bitchy.
And, there was another thing...
Oh yeah...you are unabashedly fat. And you talk about it. Which is something that I don't do.
