Yeah, I stumbled on that one some time ago.

Very creepy and disturbing indeed.

Very weird.

If it weren't for the name and the incredibly negative initial statement in their description, I'd find a good deal of their focus quite interesting. I poked around in one or two threads, and was rather pleasantly surprised, given what I was expecting. I still don't think I could be comfortable in a community that self-describes as "a community for women and girls who dislike other women and girls." Ick, indeed.

This is a community for women and girls who dislike other women and girls.

This can range from outrage at the radical feminist movement and influence on the legal system to disgust with "girly-girls" and the "classic girl" tendancy to turn on other girls in a second because of hearsay or petty arguements.

Just because it should probably be a bit better defined, I'd also like to add that this is not an "anti-feminist" group, though some may precieve it as such no matter how much the maintainer and others say otherwise. We're not "anti-feminist", we're "anti-feminists-who-make-all-other-feminists-look-like-man-hating-psychotics". If you read the group interests carefully, you'll see a hodge-podge of stances and opinions. Debate is encouraged, but petty bickering is not -- there is a difference. If you can, for the most part, rationally state your point-of-view without getting your panties in a bind, you're more than welcome here, just keep in mind that not everybody is going to agree with you 100%.

I keep this group open to differences of opinion because, well, I'd rather see a society based upon equality rather than seeing a shift from a patriarchy to a matriarchy. Of course, if a pro-matriarchy person joined up, for example, that person should know that this is a group about equality, so there will be a disagreement of opinion there, but please, try not to fight. As I've said many times before, rationally debate different points-of-view as much as you like, but please, no name-calling, flame-wars or trolling. Not everybody is going to agree with you, and you should be able to deal with that fact.

Click here to get a better understanding of what this community is about.

Anybody who is outraged, disgusted, confused or cunfuddled at the way girls treat eachother is welcome to join regardless or sex, gender, age, sexualy orientation, gender identity, age, race, ethnicity or ideas about feminism.

If you have any further questions, please e-mail the maintainer.

you know, i actually went and read through the month of august. and i think i am gonna join. i have a lot less beef with what people in that community are saying than i have with what they're saying in, oh, [livejournal.com profile] polyamory for example -- fuck the name, the contents is right up my alley.

no, i don't hate girls/women. but i have huge problems with not only the gender stereotypes associated, but also with the support those get from what appears to me to be a majority of women i know (as opposed to a majority of women with whom i associate). having a community to bitch about that would be good for me; i feel like i can't really bitch about it anywhere without hurting the feelings of the women i care about.

Well, I have to say that when I poked around through a few threads I started to feel the uncontrollable urge to chew off my own arm. If I wanted that much negativity I'd just call my mother, know what I'm sayin'?

*laugh* Oh, yes. My mom's a veritable fountain of misogyny, sadly.
