why do I care even the tiniest bit (which is about how much I care, generally) if someone I don't particularly like unfriends me?

why don't I care enough to unfriend them in return?

why on earth is the damn thing called "friends" to begin with?

incidentally...

...if you think you know whose unfriending of me led to my last post, you're probably wrong. rosefox switched me over to her new username, and it just got me thinking about unfriending in general, and about two incidents a while back in which I had a stronger reaction to being unfriended than I thought matched my feelings for the person.
