By using [livejournal.com profile] someotherguy's computer, I finally managed to FTP some pics to my website. I will now proceed to see if my 7am brain can get them posted.

Went to San Diego last week to see my mom and the Munchkins. Lassoed [livejournal.com profile] sogwife into hosting craft night while I was gone. Got to see [livejournal.com profile] firecat and her sweetie (is she on LJ? I can't remember), which was really wonderful, when I got home. Also wonderful were the amazing surprises awaiting me in the house. [livejournal.com profile] sogwife had: taken our freecycle table, sanded it down, and painted it in our color scheme; made us new living-room curtains, a pillowcase, and a lampshade drape, also in our color scheme; and made me a *Spider-man shower curtain*! (Long time ago, I posted a "guess which theme our bathroom has" post and never let the cat out of the bag -- it's superheroes. We have Powerpuff Girls towels, and Hulk soap, and a Superman mirror, and so on.)

There's a total of 468K of images behind the cuts:

the table )
the living-room curtains )
the lamp and pillow )

Isn't she amazing and generous?

A couple of weeks ago, I bought a really cool pottery bowl at Studio One's art sale. I planned to use it as a bowl for letting bread dough rise. It got broken before I could do that, though, and I was bummed.

Saturday, we were walking to the Berkeley Bowl when we saw signs for an open pottery studio. I went in and saw the bowl of my dreams. It was more than I've ever paid for a dish in my life ($35), but it's perfect.

I just found out I get the Food Network.

Alton Brown is on.

Oh, man.

Things I'm grateful for:

1) Partners who let me cry on them when things get bad.

2) That things seldom get bad.

Good night, all. (I'm fine -- it's just a high-pain day, and I'm not feeling patient with pain today.)

It's been a yummy day around here. Breakfast for me was leftover minestrone, yum. Lunch was spaghetti with sauce made from tomatoes, garlic, olive oil, and the rest of the fresh herbs that didn't get used to make the minestrone (basil, parsley, oregano). Supper was roasted elephant garlic mashed with olive oil and salt and spread on olive bread, along with roasted veggies (eggplant, bell peppers, and onions). (Added seitan to [livejournal.com profile] someotherguy's dinner -- he needs more protein than I do.) And now I'm snacking on (don't laugh -- okay, laugh if you want) some really good croutons I got at the Berkeley Bowl.

My joints have been extra-ouchy today. It's not often that they make me cry, but today they did. I am considering cutting out caffeine and dairy and seeing if that helps at all. It helped my mom a few years ago.

Feeling really grateful for all I have and the life I've built today. Thanks to everyone who's a part of it.
