so much has happened this week!

I can't believe how little time I've had for updating. Let's see what's
been noteworthy:

charliegrrrl Knocked. Our. Fucking. Socks. Off. last Thursday at
Nomad No-Mic. Goddess. The woman is a goddess. And her
book is so good. And y'all know I don't say that lightly.

Tonight is Karen's turn to do the same, so come! I'll buy you coffee, and
I'll read a poem about sex or something.

I got my first assignment at the kick-ass contract job. Yay!

someotherguy put together another bookcase. Two down, many to go.

Going to San Diego in TWO WEEKS! Woo-hoooooo!

Went to the doc today. Same procedure as most docs -- note my perfect
blood pressure (110/70), get boggled, listen to my symptoms, claim to
think it's cool that I'm happy with my weight, suggest weight loss anyway.
But he's a good doc and he seems to get that I'm in charge of my health
care, so I'll keep him. Next week will be about getting tests on my blood
and joints and stuff. Also trying to decide if I'm gonna get a mammogram.
I'm leaning toward no. Thoughts?

A few more things.

My mom rocks. She's helping out with apc, and she's so excited to be
seeing me. I love and miss her so much.

For the last half-hour or so, I have been unexplainably weepy -- I'm not
unhappy, so I have to assume it's that I'm dead tired and just generally
wiped. If no one shows for the thing tonight, I may just bail early. May
need a night under the covers.

I've been borrowing loracs/stonebender/dbubley's car for the last (?) months. Yesterday, it went kablooie
on me. I feel terrible when something that's not mine gets broken in my
care, but I did my best to not freak out, and I'll pay for the damage,
whatever it is. I'm just glad it was daylight and I had my shoes on.

I love working at UCB; have I mentioned that?
