Here's my Friday Five:

1. What is your favorite board game?

Trivial Pursuit. I really love trivia games. LOVE them.

2. What is your favorite card game?

My favorite way to play cards is to play with my mom. What we do is play Gin Rummy and Pitch, alternating games. If we're tied after two games, we play a third. We tease each other, slap each other's hands away from good cards, and generally have a wonderful time.

3. Do you like to play games on the computer or on a gaming system?

I can't tell if that's an either/or question. But yeah, I do. I don't own a gaming system, though, so I do that when I'm with the niblings.

4. If so, what is your favorite game to play?

Lately, I play a lot of Snood, but what I really really wish I could play is an old Mac game that is only available on an emulator that I can't get to work on my Vista machine. Does anyone besides me remember The Fool's Errand?

5. Do you like to play games with people or to play them alone?

Depends on the game.

Good day!

What a lovely day:

  • My foot is getting better (I hurt my feet while walking on a regular basis; I have an appointment to see a foot doctor and get better shoes).
  • I accomplished a lot (and even more fun, LEARNED a lot) at work today, and still finished off a contract gig, too.
  • I made a yummy miso salmon dinner with roasted cauliflower and a curried rice pilaf with raisins and pecans.
  • There's an amusing flamewar on soc.sexuality.general, in which this one woman insists on continually calling [livejournal.com profile] stonebender an ass and thinks I'm -- what was it? -- an insensitive dog, I think. ([livejournal.com profile] tomallen, I was not trying to be insensitive. I like you a lot. Did I hurt your feelings?)
  • [censored]
  • A lovely walk in the twilight, when the sun shone *just right* on the bougainvillea and made it this otherworldly color.
  • [livejournal.com profile] wtfpotatoes has wanted a tattoo forever, and her mom finally said yes. She sent me the image, and it's really beautiful. It has the Japanese word for "serenity" in it.
  • I finished work early, so now I can goof off, or go to bed, or do whatever I want. Yay!

Oh, I almost forgot. Munchkin The Elder decided what he wanted for his birthday -- Comicon tickets. I got him the 4-day pass, that came with a limited-edition Bugs Bunny figure or some such nonsense. He's SO excited!
