Thank you to everyone who has come to the hospital, or sent good wishes
along. Thank you to everyone who has fed us, relieved us, laughed with
us, cared about us. Thank you to Debbie (was it you, Deb? I think it
was), who reminded me that I need 5/2/1 -- at least 5 hours of sleep, at
least two meals, and at least one shower.
And special thanks to my boys --
someotherguy, who has been at
the ready to feed me, hold me, or drag me off to watch a bad movie so I
can relax; and
stonebender, who is a wonderful partner and a
very considerate patient.

Updatey thing
Jul. 27th, 2007 12:59 pmJust spoke to
loracs (well, 20 minutes or so ago). If the tests come back okay, and if
stonebender can keep his oxygen sats up to 94 on room air, and if he doesn't have another attack, then he might be able to go home tomorrow.
I have a policy of allowing myself to get my hopes up, because, hey, hope is good. Here's hoping.

update (again)
Jul. 27th, 2007 04:35 pmGood news: No blood clot, no abcess; probably just garden-variety pneumonia
Bad news: Garden-variety pneumonia. Still having trouble keeping his
oxygen up, so he's unlikely to go home tomorrow
Good news: Visit and helpfulness from
waywardcats! Balloons
from
kalmn! A visit and peanut brittle from
leback! A
visit and snacks from
tracytreefrog!
Bad news: Still no word on the culture that will tell them which
antibiotic is most likely to wipe this thing the fuck out

Jul. 27th, 2007 09:33 pmSuch a week. But now work is over, game night is over,
stonebender is in good hands, and me? I'm gonna goof off for a while, listen to music without the headphones, and then sleep as long as I possibly can. Longer, if I can manage it. Tomorrow will come soon enough. Tonight is for me.
