This week has been very strange and difficult for me. I have very little energy left for doing the sharing thing, but I wanted to let everyone know I just talked to loracs and she sounds really good. They're probably letting her go in a couple of hours, and stonebender and I will go spring her from the jail hospital.

loracs is home from the hospital. She's asleep right now. I'm making bean soup with smoked turkey legs for her to have around (she's supposed to keep the fat low for a while, while her body gets used to the new setup), and we'll have potatoes and chickpea gravy and broccoli for dinner. I had intended to go home and come back at bedtime, but (1) I feel like on her first day home if she wants anything fetched, I want to fetch it for her, and (2) if I go home now, it's going to take more energy than I have to come back tonight at bedtime.

I miss my home, but I'm so happy that I am able to be some help to loracs, who has been amazing to me for almost five years. I'm so relieved that the surgery went well.
