I have a new camera!

Here are my first few photos with the new camera (click through -- there are five of them). They're not great, but I was mostly playing with it to see if I could figure out the settings and stuff. I really enjoy the teeny-tiny camera, because I can take it with me without feeling like I'm carrying luggage. And I'm learning to use Gimp to do the photo editing, which is also fun.

Solstice party

Solstice party plans proceed apace (this Friday, 7pm-midnight or later, my place). Some menu changes have occurred, because I found a hugemongous pork roast at Costco, so I'm gonna do pulled pork sandwiches on homemade buns, and skip the cold cuts. wtfpotatoes says she'll help with food prep. The neighbor says she'll let us put some of the food overflow in her fridge.

I'm excited. It's been too long since we had a decent party where I could make a ton of food.
