Quick notes
Jan. 9th, 2009 01:34 pm1) The Best Job Ever really is the best.
2) I've made an executive decision to go see the doctor I was scheduled
with, rather than waiting to see the one my endo prefers. I did a little
web research, and other than age and national origin, I can't see any
substantive difference between them. They even both went to school in
Pennsylvania. I'll just see how it goes. (It's possible that Dr. H. is
just covering for Dr. G., in which case I would've felt silly raising a
stink anyway. Okay, part of this is because I got tired of waiting on hold
to change the appointment, but still, sooner is better in a lot of ways.)
3) Google Scholar rocks.
4)
wtfpotatoes wants a pet, and we can't have dogs or cats here,
so we're getting piggies! (Guinea pigs, that is.) They do better and live
longer in pairs, so we're getting two. One tomorrow or the next day from a
lovely guinea-pig-fostering woman who reminds me of Kimberly, and then
another from herpusher friend who owns a small-critter supply
store and rescues the animals. I posted to Freecycle to get a cage, and
this woman came forward and offered a folding cage, a sweet guinea pig,
and tons of useful advice. Yay!
