Good stuff
Aug. 18th, 2011 09:38 amI've been mostly posting about the bad stuff this week, but here's some good stuff:
1) Still no sign of cancer! Huzzah! (They will continue to monitor me pretty frequently until I get blood levels of thyroid hormone that they like, but I don't have to be radioactive again unless the blood and/or ultrasound tests show something they feel worried about.)
2) I know this might sound like a bad thing, but they just charged my student account for a bunch of tuition money. This means I'm really going to college! I'm so thrilled!
3) James and I talk a lot about stuff I don't post about much, but that is WAY more exciting than it sounds, like this amazing thing: We turn a knob and cold, fresh, clean, safe water pours out. As much as we want! For practically free! We do not take this for granted, at least not all the time, and the fact that we don't is, I think, a key part of the reason we're so amazingly happy. And it's funny; if I posted about the readiness of food, water, and shelter -- if I posted about that all day long, people would think I was crazy. Nonetheless, it's a huge thing, and way more important than the fact, say, that I'm going to college. You know?
4) I love the kid a lot, but this break from her (she left nine days ago and comes back day after tomorrow) has been really nice. She's a good kid, and we love each other, but it's been a nice break. And that's all I'm gonna say about that in public.
And now you know it's your turn, right? What's your good stuff today?
