Aug. 17th, 2011 07:35 amThe worst thing for me about taking a sick day is spending the hour surrounding that decision in paroxysms of self-doubt and waffling. Now that I've decided to stay home today (can't get comfortable; can't grip much; can't type much) and write to my doctor about changing my meds, I'm just mildly guilty. No reason to be -- it's a slow day at work and I have LOTS of sick time saved up because I rarely take it -- but still.
Don't know what I'll end up doing today. It took me three sittings to compose this post. I think I'll take advantage of the fact that I can't really sit comfortably for longer than a few minutes, and flit about the house doing easy housework tasks (like culling the kitchen gadgets and going through junk mail) that I never get around to.
