Labor day labor

I don't have to work for pay today (yay!), but I also don't have other plans, so I'm calling this a housework day. Did my FlyLady Monday stuff for the first time in months; James and I will go do laundry later; and for the rest of the day, I'll try to dig out from under this mess (and maybe tackle my work email inbox, or would that be contrary to the spirit of Labor Day?).

I'm really not sure how it gets so bad. I'm not a lazy person, honest, but I am really really good at avoiding things I don't want to do, like dishes, even though once I get around to doing them, I don't tend to mind it at all. Ah, well.
