In general, I do not mind moving at all. However, I've been doing it for weeks now (first me, then helping cute-poet-chick, now my office, and then I have another move to go when I move into a more permanent living situation), so I guess I'm just maxed out on it. *hugsback*
OMG! Don't remind me! Eeeeeeek! We moved from a huge house in Houston that took me 3 months to pack...to a smaller house in Massachusetts. Took me months to UNPACK...and after only 2 years, we moved again...cross country to Portland into an even smaller house...pack..pack...pack...then we moved inner-city to an even SMALLER house...more packing, unpacking shuffling around...and last Christmas, moved to California. Boxes-R-Us. I can't stand the sight of boxes. I'm STILL trying to get unpacked and figure out where to put things! I hope your move goes smoothely. I do not envy you except for the wonderful adventures of discovering new things about where you'll be moving. That part is always fun!
I feel for you. I still haven't finished unpacking from having moved in a year and a half ago, let alone the huge pile of Amanda's things downstairs and in the basement. Tonight's plan is to attack the attic, I think.
Fix the teleporter, and I'd be happy to help, though. :-)
I don't mind unpacking. Actually, I don't mind packing, either, except it's tiring. I think the whininess of today is just overload after it's been WEEKS now that I've been attending to one move or another. It'll be over in a month, though, and that's something, right? *weak smile*
Perhaps now you're in a good position to understand why, when in the middle of packing for my last housemove, it seemed a totally good and reasonable thing to do to trim one of the fluffier cats' tails into pompoms and then paint her head green with food colouring. (The food colouring was the bit she objected to - she was perfectly happy to let me redecorate her tail.)
When I say "it made sense at the time" people generally give me odd looks. But I suspect that you'll understand. :-)

But, you will have better space, and it will be over soon.
Hugs.

In terms, that is, of wear and tear on one's possessions and one's psyche.

(So have I. (http://www.livejournal.com/users/kightp/96075.html) Personally, I manage OK if I have at least a year between moves.)
