Oops, sorry, MT is MovableType (http://movabletype.org/), the first blogging software SixApart (http://www.sixapart.com/) (the guys who make TypePad) wrote. b2 (http://cafelog.com/) is another piece of blogging software using PHP.
I'm betatesting TypePad, too--here (http://eilatan.typepad.com). It's pretty sweet. A lot of the functionality is similar to Movable Type (which I use for my main journal), but it's definitely geared towards someone who doesn't want to be bothered with installing and configuring stuff. Email me, why don't you so I can gush about the stuff I love about TypePad to someone who can hear the gushing. :)
I'm actually working on reading them for the first time--I somehow managed to not read them when I was a little girl. Those and the Anne of Green Gagles books and the Anastasia books, and I'm sure a bunch of others.
