OhmigoshOhmigosh!

My boyfriend bought me a piano!

I have always and ever wanted a piano of my very own. We lost the piano when my parents divorced (I was 13) and ever since, I have really wanted one. I used to spend hours and hours practicing on the practice-room pianos in music school. I SUCK at playing the piano, and probably always will, but it was still such a joy.

Thank you so much, [personal profile] stonebender! This was so unexpected and so incredible!

(It's not delivered yet. We're hoping it'll fit in my door. It was the smallest working piano he could find. Isn't he a treasure?)

Yay!

Wow!

(I just watched Clueless for the first time, so now you've got me thinking about the small piano bought as a love gift in Jane Austen's Emma :-)

that is so cool! And you should play it a lot! My mom is no concert pianist - I imagine she's tolerable, and she certainly isn't really awful - but I grew up with her sitting down at the piano about once a day and playing for an hour or so. Every once in a while when I drop by I hear piano music spilling out the doorway. It's really cool. Stonebender is *wonderful*!!

Yay! Enjoy! I confess I neglect my piano badly ... I should practice but it's like a lot of things, I try and try, but don't come up to the standard I think I should, so I get discouraged and stop trying. Who knows, with time on my hands, if I have enough energy, I might try again?
