I want to have Cup-a-Soup available in my office at all times.

I want to go to Costco and buy a huge flat of Cup-a-Soup so I will never be without it.

No, wait! I want a huge Cup-a-Soup dispenser that will give me any flavor I want any time I want, hot and yummy, in a biodegradable cup.

(And no, I don't want a pony.)

I remember seeing photos of her on magazine covers and thinking "what's the big deal?" and then I saw Pretty Woman, and as nauseating as the film itself was, I could completely see her charm. She charmed *me*, at any rate.

Lyle Lovett and I used to hang out at the same places in Houston. I've known him since his early days at this little pub off the beaten track that used to have an audience of about 4 people. I remember when he first married her. I went to see him at a HUGE venue there and he stopped his concert right in the middle to take a call from her on his cell phone. He left the mic on. It was hilarious. He said, "Honey, I'm a little busy right now" and the crowd cheered and screamed. They came into an Indian restaurant together one night. She really *does* have charisma and was totally charming.

Cute-poet-chick and I are HUGE Lyle fans. She lived in Houston, and he touched her hair once. ;-)

Isn't he just the "cats peyamas" (as my Swedish friend used to say). He's so damned intelligent and that voice! I just love him to death.

Julia's loss!

What's your favorite Lyletune?

Ohmigosh, so hard to pick. I love "Exceptional Level of Ecstasy" and "Road to Ensenada" and "This Old Porch" and so many others. He is a god to me. And fuck everyone who says he's ugly; I would do him in a heartbeat. What a genius.

I wholly agree with you on that one. Lyle is a work of art...inside and out. I don't think he is ugly at all. His face has such as wonderful sculptural quality, especially with that hair. I loves him, too!

Tell your Houston friend that Lyle's favorite restaurant is Andy's Mexican Food on (I think) 11th. It's a little greasy spoon and he eats there several times a month when he isn't traveling.

Cute-poet-chick (the woman I lived with up until a while ago) lives here in San Diego now, but hell, maybe I'll go to Andy's some day. ;-)

(Teasing; I'm not much of a starstruck fangirl, so I do more obsessive CD-listening and less actual stalking. ;-)

Yeah, me too now...but when I lived in Houston, it was easy 'cause no matter where I went, there he'd be. I used to run into Willie Nelson a lot there, too at this other little Mexican Restaurant dive.
