Exciting changes
Feb. 2nd, 2004 08:03 pmreposted from some newsgroups:
It's scary, a little, but exciting a lot. I will miss my family and
cute-poet-chick. I will miss knowing my way around. But.
someotherguy and I are moving to the Bay Area.
Soon.
-ish.
We want to be closer to our other partners, and I've always wanted to
live there; well, since I was 13 or 14 and decided I was going to go to
Berkeley, anyway. I didn't, but now I'm a growed-up, and I can go where
I want.
The thing to solve is finding me a job, and I am optimistic. I've had
some nibbles, and I'm continuing to apply for things that seem like (a)
I can do them happily, and (b) they're not part of the
military/industrial complex.
So, if anyone has any job leads (I tend to do secretarial-type stuff,
but I've done copyediting and all kinds of other stuff, and am feeling
flexible), I'd be happy to know about them, but mainly I just wanted to
let y'all know.
Whee!

Date: 2004-02-02 08:18 pm (UTC)I am looking forward to meeting you at last. Do you know about Craigslist (http://www.craigslist.org)? It's the place to find jobs, housing, used vehicles, yard sales, and everything else.
