Home, new home
Apr. 6th, 2004 08:43 pmNew (cute, funky) apartment in Oakley/Berkland: check
New job that I like: check
Fun hippychick groceries from Berkeley Bowl: check
People who love me and are rooting for me: check
*happysigh*
So Saturday, the 24th, will be the housewarming, but feel free to call or write, and we can get together before then, energy and time permitting. I plan to try to balance social stuff with creating a happy nest here. I hope that if you're in my general neighborhood, you will feel free to come and hang out and eat fun hippychick groceries with me. Once we get settled in, I plan to have a weekly open-house time, too, and
someotherguy is planning to start up a D&D game once his work schedule clears up a little. Life is fun, and getting funner, and I have a lot of you to thank. (And extra thanks to
stonebender and Carol, who have been *amazing* through all this, and to Ilona, who let us make her apartment home base for househunting for two weeks.
I miss my mom and the munchkins (and, of course, cute-poet-chick), but I'm already so happy here. I can't wait to see what the next year brings me. I'm hoping it's lots of peaceful times with friends and loves, and an end to the current US regime.
Spent the weekend meeting
someotherguy's family. It was great, and I'll write more about it later if I've the energy and the internet connection. Thanks, everyone, for the good wishes. I have so much love for you all.

Date: 2004-04-06 10:33 pm (UTC)Less happy, I'll confess, that the housewarming is on the 24th, as that's a pretty sure sign you won't be in Colorado Springs that weekend, but I'll survive.
Yay!
