The May List

This month's list is things I would like to do before I die, because after I did, I'll be busy being all dead and stuff:

1) Sing in public again (I told firecat I would try to do it by March, but moving and life-stuff took priority. I'm gonna start working on it again, even if it just means joining rmjwell and friends for karaoke.

2) Finish a novel. I mean, really finish it, with subsequent drafts and everything.

3) Become a really good breadbaker.

I love bread baking, and fresh bread - we haven't had store-bought bread in the house in several years, including burger buns.

What would you consider qualifies as "really good breadbaker" out of curiousity? What a fun skill to be building - yummy too!

Mmmm bread. Please share tips. During the school year I am in the Land of Absolutely No Good Bread, and after a semester in Germany and Austria, Lands of Lots of Extremely Tasty Bread, this is very unpleasant. Happily, I'm going home soon, and there will be good bread at the store, and for that matter, time to bake.

You know that you have a really good breadbaker (i.e., alanbostick in your neighborhood now, right? I know for a fact that he gives away sourdough starter and his method/recipe is in his weblog. Check it out!
