Ouchy

This morning, I had a little bit of tenderness in my ear. That was a few hours ago, and it's steadily gotten worse until I am really really uncomfortable (serenecode for "ouch, this really hurts, dammit!"). Made an appointment for this afternoon. I can still probably make it to see mistdog this evening, and if you're reading this, mistdog, I'm up for it, but another night would probably be easier. (I'll go comment in your journal as a just-in-case measure.)

I got your phone message yesterday, sorry I hadn't got back to you yet, I'm wicked busy with the conference.

I actually have conference meetings much of the evening tonight (Tues) and tomorrow. How about Thursday evening? I think the conference finishes around 5-6pm.

Hi, I'm really sorry to mess you about like this, but Thursday night isn't looking so good - I have another friend I'm trying to meet who can only do Thursday night. But I'm free all day tomorrow - how about lunch? Or early evening? I have no other commitments tomorrow in the daytime so I'm open to meeting anywhere (reachable by public transport). I'd hate to miss out on meeting you!

I was going to call you today, but I've stupidly left your numbers in my hotel and not going to have a chance to get back there all day. I'll check back here during the day.

Don't worry about messing me about. I was as flaky as you were, if not more. We're busy folk, and we'll meet at some point. Tomorrow, unfortunately, I have to work, and then (fortunately) my best friend is coming in from out of town. So it will have to be another time, but I do adore you for making the effort. Thanks, sweetie. The doc couldn't find anything wrong with it. It hurts on and off, but it's MUCH better than it was at work. And I just ate my weight in curry, so really, I'm quite contented. :-)
