The real day off
Jul. 5th, 2004 06:53 pmMy friends left this morning, and I came home to take a rare day of just-hanging-out around the house. Between my sunburn and my hip pain, I couldn't sleep, so I spent the day doing things that relax me: took a couple of walks, played on the internet, chatted with my sweeties (that wasn't uniformly relaxing, but it was loving, and that's what counts to me), and puttered around cooking and washing dishes and stuff.
Visited and fell in love with Change Makers. What a great store. Bought a dollar button ("Queer as Fuck"), because I wanted to buy *something* and I couldn't afford much more than that. When
someotherguy pulled out his wallet to pay for it because I'd left my purse home (ignoring the fact for the moment that there was no cash in said purse), I'm sure I didn't gain any feminist points. Ah, well.
Me: "Ooh, and look, it's an all-volunteer organization!"
someotherguy: "Uh-oh."
