sereneLovely house, lovely women to discuss literature with, lovely snacks, and such an adorable dog. tenacious_snail invited me to her book group tonight, and I got past my utter resistence to new social situations and went. Made toffee, got lost, found the place, listened a lot, made some conversation, petted the dog, got along with the dog (a biggie if you know me -- maybe stonebender's dog has broken my streak), and had a very nice time. tenacious_snail is so kind and neighborly, and I do appreciate it.
Come to think of it, thanks to all of the people who have made this move feel like coming home.bayarts had me at a book reading almost immediately. The local wombabes have all welcomed me, either in email or in person. stonebender and his partner have been fucking amazing.
