some stuff
Jul. 21st, 2004 12:52 pma pool of light
is forming at the base of my desk
it is spreading up,
like ink soaking into paper,
making me wonder
how the darkness
ever wins
~*~*~* *~*~*~
My ouchy face is back. Bleah. Off to urgent care again after work.
~*~*~* *~*~*~
My most favorite thing to do at work is hire people. My least favorite thing to do at work is send people home because they forgot to bring, say, the phone number to a job they had eight years ago. Bleah.
~*~*~* *~*~*~
We went to a new part of the neighborhood for our walk yesterday; kinda cool, air full of marijuana smoke, people milling on the sidewalks, only a few businesses open, but a sense that the town was still awake. I liked it, even though it made me feel a little jittery.
~*~*~* *~*~*~
My lunch was over 2 minutes ago. I'm resisting going back to work, but just 2 hours and then I can leave for the doctor.

I will remember
that the darkness
doesn't win -- it only drowns
in the pool of light
that comes in the day
is forming at the base of my desk
it is spreading up,
like ink soaking into paper,
making me wonder
how the darkness
ever wins
