Puttering around the house and eating some really good mock-chicken-and-rice (sauteed onions and celery in oil, added rice for a while, then pine nuts a minute before adding the wet stuff, which was a can of seitan mock chicken, broth saved, enough boiling water to make 1 2/3 cup of liquid, a veggie buillon cube, and a little frozen spinach. Bring to a boil, turn heat down way low, cover, simmer 20 minutes, turn off heat, let stand 5 minutes). So delicious.

Tonight, [livejournal.com profile] sogwife is bringing her sewing machine down so she can finish our garb for the wedding. Then tomorrow she'll finish the hand-sewing while I'm at work, and we'll head down to Long Beach to stay with my friend A. Wedding Saturday morning, see my family too briefly Saturday night, back to Long Beach to stay overnight, home Sunday. Whew.

Oh, forgot -- I added around 2 tsp. curry powder.

Yay, someone else who's having good food! I made mushroom risotto for tea, misread the instructions on the veg bouillon powder tub, and threw in about four times as much as I should have done. It tasted *divine*. I'll be using the stuff in larger-than-instructed amounts from now on, definitely.
