I will answer each and every one tonight. But for now, this is my contribution; a little ragged, but straight from the heart.

This is for everyone who gave me beautiful words today.

Sometimes I feel "no man is an island" as a cruel and twisted bromide,
Don't we all find those moments of undesired purdah
creeping up and grabbing us by the shoulder,
whispering hard in our ear?

But then the warm touch of your hand,
the light in your eyes,
the words you give me
(oh, the lovely words!)
bring tears of joy and gratitude welling,
washing over my radiant smile,
and I am an island no more.

And deep in my heart I know
I never was.

I would have offered words,
a boquet of nouns
polinated by swarming verbs,

or perhaps rich, velvety truffles,
each with a luscious adjective at the core -
bitter, sweet, or tempting as an apple.

But the ink in my pen has gone desert-dry
elegance and refinement escape me,
return me to simplicity...
