I don't know him, so I can't say for sure, but is it possible that he was insulted more by the "cute" part than the "evil" part? It sure would be for some people I know...

Could be, but as a scientific experiment (ahem), I later told him he was cute-insane, like a Charles Manson plushie, and he didn't seem quite as insulted. In fact, he may have laughed at me.

I do have to agree with the "master of insult" ... you couldn't have thought of a better diss for someone doin' the "I'm bad" schtick if you'd sat down and thought about it for a long time. (On the other hand, he should have known better.)
