Notes from the home front:

1) I am so loving my new schedule. I spend my days puttering around, writing, playing (it's been way too fucking long since I had a spare twenty minutes to suck at Tetris), etc. May I remember this when I'm exhausted beyond belief this weekend.

2) My body seems to have mostly bounced back from the beating I gave it this weekend, but the car-wreck stuff is still ouchy. I can live with it.

3) [livejournal.com profile] someotherguy apparently has gallstones, the poor dear -- at least we know now what was causing him pain. And [livejournal.com profile] stonebender's partner is apparently much better, which is a big relief.

4) Gonna do a dry run, so to speak, of the pear tart I wanna make for t-day. Anyone who wants to try it should come over tomorrow evening.

5) Fridays are going to be our "We are home accepting visitors" evenings from now on (with the exception of the third (I think) Friday in December, which is when [livejournal.com profile] sogwife and I are going over [livejournal.com profile] rosefox's for crafting. If ever you find yourself at loose ends on a Friday night, please do drop in. No notice necessary. If you need directions or a phone number, drop me an email.

6) [livejournal.com profile] someotherguy makes a mean tuna salad. (With tart apples instead of pickle relish. So good.)

[livejournal.com profile] someotherguy finds miracle whip to be an abomination. He is, of course, wrong, but I tolerate it because he's so good in bed the kitchen.

You know I love you, but Miracle Whip is the Devil's Tool.

And I thought the Devil's tool was a bright red forked thing. Learn something new all the time.

Just to clarify, my crafting thing is every third Friday, and you're welcome to join me any month. *)

Oh, yes, I know, but we have landed on Fridays as our only possible at-home evening (it's the only day that [livejournal.com profile] sogwife's here when I'm not working), and we have company the 3rd Friday of November, so I made an exception for your December thing because I'd like to make it at least once. :-)
