good food day
Dec. 6th, 2004 11:16 pmIt's been a yummy day around here. Breakfast for me was leftover minestrone, yum. Lunch was spaghetti with sauce made from tomatoes, garlic, olive oil, and the rest of the fresh herbs that didn't get used to make the minestrone (basil, parsley, oregano). Supper was roasted elephant garlic mashed with olive oil and salt and spread on olive bread, along with roasted veggies (eggplant, bell peppers, and onions). (Added seitan to
someotherguy's dinner -- he needs more protein than I do.) And now I'm snacking on (don't laugh -- okay, laugh if you want) some really good croutons I got at the Berkeley Bowl.
My joints have been extra-ouchy today. It's not often that they make me cry, but today they did. I am considering cutting out caffeine and dairy and seeing if that helps at all. It helped my mom a few years ago.
Feeling really grateful for all I have and the life I've built today. Thanks to everyone who's a part of it.
