It's been a yummy day around here. Breakfast for me was leftover minestrone, yum. Lunch was spaghetti with sauce made from tomatoes, garlic, olive oil, and the rest of the fresh herbs that didn't get used to make the minestrone (basil, parsley, oregano). Supper was roasted elephant garlic mashed with olive oil and salt and spread on olive bread, along with roasted veggies (eggplant, bell peppers, and onions). (Added seitan to [livejournal.com profile] someotherguy's dinner -- he needs more protein than I do.) And now I'm snacking on (don't laugh -- okay, laugh if you want) some really good croutons I got at the Berkeley Bowl.

My joints have been extra-ouchy today. It's not often that they make me cry, but today they did. I am considering cutting out caffeine and dairy and seeing if that helps at all. It helped my mom a few years ago.

Feeling really grateful for all I have and the life I've built today. Thanks to everyone who's a part of it.

The description of your pain reminds me of a friend who was having joint issues, until he cut out (I believe) all the gluten in his diet. He turned vegetarian (not like you have to) and cut out breads that had high carbs, stuch with all-natural and gluten-free products. It seems to have worked. *shrugs*

Viv avoids gluten and nightshade relatives (tomatoes, peppers) as well, for her joints. Of course, it makes it harder to find anything to eat....:( Of course, for Viv, meat is always good. :j

Love you, Girl. Sorry you're hurting.

Smooch!
