Jan. 1st, 2005 04:37 amI was proud of myself. I promised myself that I was going to relax on New Year's Eve. I did lots of nothing yesterday (and lots of something, but that's a comfy mix for me), and when it was close to time when people might come over and I had no real food in the house, I let it go.
wild_irises and
alanbostick came over and we just schmoozed for a while. I felt very comfy around them, and I think I only interrupted Alan a few times. Hope they weren't expecting a rousing party -- it was nice to just relax with friends, and I feel encouraged to try the bread again.
Stayed up until midnight to wish Munchkin The Younger a happy birthday, and then talked in bed with my sweeties until who-knows-when in the morning, but it probably wasn't more than three hours ago, so I should probably go back to bed.
Tomorrow/today, I plan to do as little as possible. May enlist help with the dishes. May read all day (besides the time we're visiting
wild_irises and
alanbostick's place in the afternoon). May not. Want to go pick up a cake for the Munchkin, but may let that go, too.
I don't do nothing very often. Lately, I've been letting myself do nothing a little every day, and I like it. It was liberating to have people over and just offer them what we were having, rather than knocking myself out making party food. That said, I shall likely return to knocking myself out making party food in the future, because that's a lot of fun for me. :-)

Date: 2005-01-01 07:16 pm (UTC)And I love being at your pace food or no. I mean, for the record.
Connor gets back today, just so you know. If you have things you want to do with kiddos before yours leaves, let me know.

Date: 2005-01-03 09:11 pm (UTC)I go out of town on Friday for a parent conference but next week is pretty open - tho I start school on Thursday.
Speaking of school are you interested in watching Connor on Tuesdays? It would be 3-9:30 or so. There might be more time, but that's one that I can confirm that there will be money for.
