You know those menus you see on most veggie websites? The ones where every meal is full of raw, fresh veggies, and contains barely any fat or sugar, and is homemade from start to finish?
Yeah. This isn't that kind of blog.
you rock. :) ok, now to see whether i can syndicate this.
I think I have set it up so that it can be syndicated. I am SUCH a total newbie to the whole blog thing (since 3 years of LJ hasn't really forced me to learn anything beyond filling out a webform).
If you start each entry with some comment about how little energy you have, it doesn't exactly sell veganism. heh. I know it's entirely reactionary of me but my first thought is, "well of course you don't have any energy if you're not eating animal products!"
Yeah, but the beauty part of being me is that I don't give a fuck if anyone else in the world is vegan. :-) (And I was up until 2am after getting up at 7, so no matter what I'd eaten, I think I'd be tired. ;-)
Thank you for sharing - I've found that my attitude towards veganism has changed a lot in the last year. I'm still a pretty strict vegan (I freegan it a little and occasionally eat small amounts of egg whites or something if convenience and hunger call for it), but I've become a lot more easy on myself. Part of this is out of my realization that it's more important to make sure I'm eating enough and not going broke than to be strict, and part of it has been the experience of living with two vegans who were very strict and rather judgmental of others, to the point where I felt like eating a hamburger to spite them!
(Actually, you inspired me to choose a more modern, non-broken template for mine, pending a custom image from my web guru friend.)
If you want a good cheap place to eat that is 100% vegan ... try Vegi Food on Rose St. near Shattuck. The sweet and sour walnuts are to drool for. The potstickers ain't bad either.
