1. What's the oldest possession you own?

I have no earthly idea. I don't think I own any antiques. Oh, I have a few pieces of costume jewelry that belonged to my nana, I think.

2. What one possession have you owned the longest?

Eep, besides photos, possibly that jewelry of Nana's. I just don't know or care that much about my stuff. I'm starting to wonder if I am going to be able to answer any of these questions authoritatively.

3. What's the most expensive possession you own?

A few months ago, I would have said my car. Hmm. Now, it's probably the Kitchenaid mixer, especially if you include the new attachment. No, wait, it's the bed. How could I forget spending a thousand dollars on a piece of furniture? (I would say the computer, but mom got it used and cheap. If you count everything in my house, it's probably [livejournal.com profile] someotherguy's computer.)

4. What's the most precious (to you) possession you own?

I don't exactly do "precious" where stuff is concerned, but I would miss the stuff that's not replaceable: The four books in which my poetry has been published; the batch of [livejournal.com profile] alanbostick's sourdough starter; photos of my parents as children; stuff like that.

5. What's the rarest possession you own?

I suppose it would be art that my friends have made -- [livejournal.com profile] firecat's jewelry, for instance, or [livejournal.com profile] malte's drawing, or [livejournal.com profile] browngirl's magnet and card -- things like that.

6. What's the oddest, strangest, or silliest possession you own?
Heh. I own a lot of odd, strange and silly things

Several braids of other people's (strangers') hair
A collection of spheres
Most of the stuff in my superhero-themed bathroom -- Spiderman electric toothbrush, Hulk silly-soap dispenser, WonderWoman vitamin case, etc.

7. What's the newest possession you own (not food)?

The cookbook [livejournal.com profile] bayarts so generously sent in the mail or the CDs and DVD [livejournal.com profile] stonebender got me for our anniversary -- I can't remember which came first.

8. Which of your possessions most sums up your personality?

Wow. Tough one. I would like to solicit suggestions from people who know me and/or my stuff.

Does a Collection count as One Posession?

Care to share the story behind having braids of strangers' hair?

Possessions couldn't possibly sum up your personality, but you're the only person I know who always has a bowl of olives on the counter when I come over.
