I guess it's not technically short notice, as it's an every-week thing, but I forgot until now to post about the Friday Thing:

Game night tonight (or just hanging out, if folks aren't in the mood for games). I'm feeling mellow. Visit if you feel like visiting. Same drill as every Friday: Arrive any time between 5 and 9pm (this is so that we can close up the house if it's empty at 9); stay as late as you want. Email if you need directions. (Next week's Friday Thing will be sogwife's birthday party, and if you have to choose one, choose next week, because there will be cake!) :-)

I want some! hey toots I am not sure you got my email I sent last week sometime, about our visit. Are those dates ok? We have a bid on the condo and are signing the papers tomorrow....I feel like we are already in Ashland. How are all of you doing? It seems like life has been good for you in the bay area. Are you adjusted? I can't wait to spend so time with you guys. we should arrive early enough on the 12th to spend the whole evening together after the drive up. Hope to hear from you soon.

I thought second fridays were craft night. Do I have it wrong, or did you change it, and if you changed it, is it permanent or temporary?

It's always been first friday crafts and second friday games, but I did have to go back and make sure I wasn't full of shit. :-) That said, feel free to come over and craft *any* Friday. Tonight, I plan to dig out my crochet unless someone comes over and wants to play games.

Cool. I'm always very happy to see you, crafts or no.

Tonight, we are just sitting around, playing (or working) at our computers, and eating party snacks. (The Friday Thing is partly about my love of party foods, I'll admit. Today, it's roasted-veggie pizza, hummus-and-flatbread, and Italian sodas.)
