I don't want to take away an iota of how wonderful stonebender is, or what a wonderful time I had with him today, but I wanted to talk a second about his family and how much they mean to me.

His sister, tracytreefrog regularly drives for hours to attend The Friday Thing. This time, she brought very popular cookies, and THIS! for me, along with this (top picture). How cool is that? How thoughtful? Very, that's how.

dbubley, his partner's partner, is uniformly sweet and welcoming to me. She regularly tells me she loves me. She makes me laugh, and I like her and worry about her like she was my own sister.

And then there's loracs. I cannot possibly tell you how dear she is to me. Since day one, she has supported me, not only in my relationship with her partner of 20+ years, but in my every life event. She was there to supply our new apartment when our stuff was delayed by two weeks. She helps me with health questions. She feeds me. She listens to me. She gives a good goddamn if I'm unhappy or hurt or lonely. And she is so so fun to flirt with.

I'm all choked up with how lucky I am right now. I wish for all of you the happiness I am experiencing at this moment.

And with that, I'm off to watch South Park with someotherguy. Night!

You are very lucky. I think I might happily give my eyeteeth for a lovely group of people/family/friends like that. I'm sure you've done plenty to deserve it!!

As I said to you before my brother has good taste. I liked and felt welcomed by Carol the first time we met and I have felt the same about you. It goes along with the closest thing I have to a belief system you put positive energy out you get it back and then some. I enjoy being around all of you and your friends. Our visits get me out of my little solitary shell I tend to be in. I get abit of a social recharge It is Great! So glad you liked the cookies and prezys. As I said I saw them and just couldn't resist. Now that I figured out how to get there from work you might be seeing more of me*grins*

Thanks for sharing this--seeing you "count your blessings" like this is always an inspiration to me... And I'm so very glad for you and stonebender that you've got such lovely people in your life--and for them that they've got the two of you!
