Spent some lovely quality time with someotherguy today. Also talked with stonebender for a while, which was nice, especially since I only saw him for a minute this morning before loracs so kindly drove dizzy-girl home (I have an infrequent, recurring dizziness problem, and got sent home from work.)

Then made okay soup (too much thyme -- but I know I dislike thyme and should have left it out). Then cuddled with sogwife and kwamee while watching Northern Exposure. Then exchanged sweet email with dryadgrl. Feeling like life doesn't suck.



1. What does your LJ nickname mean? It means this is my journal.

2. Elaborate on your icon photo? I think mactavish took it. It's a picture of me on the Coronado ferry in San Diego the weekend of the Womboink (September 20, 2002, I do believe). Very fun time.

3. Did you lie about your age anywhere on the net? I routinely lie about everything to web sites that insist on having information about me that they have no right to have. but I don't lie about my age in any consistent way or anywhere where my age might actually matter.

4. How many LJ friends do you have? A lot. I don't care, so I rarely go look.

5. What is your current status? Huh?

6. What are you wearing right now? My t-shirt from alt.polycon 9, and my wedding rings.

7. What is life to you? I'll get back to you after I'm done with it.

8. What is love to you? See #7.

9. What kind of people do you hate most? People who do harm to others on purpose.

10. What type of people do you like most? People who are interested in lots of things, who look beyond the surface, who retain a sense of wonder, who like what they like rather than only what's cool. (I suppose that boils down to "geeks," sort of.) Oh, and I'm also often partial to people who pay attention to me. :-)

11. What makes you happy? Simple stuff. Stuff that surprises me. Rain. Cooking. Looking into the eyes of someone who loves me. Good sex. Good iced tea. Having my toenails freshly painted. Learning new things. Hearing geeks talking to each other. Knowing my friends love me. NRE. ORE. GRE. Buttered toast. Having enough money to eat out. Noticing happymaking things. Having partners who do, too. My sweeties' laughs. Having an orgasm that doesn't hurt. Risotto. A good movie. Knowing that there are a handful of people who, if I called them up right now, would rush over to be with me. The fact that my job ends in a week. Walking in the rain with someotherguy. SO so so many other things.

12. Are you musically-inclined? Yes.

13. What would you do if you woke up one morning and found out that the person you love most didn't exist, or was killed? "Found out they didn't exist" doesn't make sense, since that would mean they had never existed and I would have no memories of them so I wouldn't notice anything different. Found out they were killed - grieve. If they were just gone and I was the only person who remembered them? - I'd feel pretty crazy?

14. If you could go back in time and change ONE thing, what would you do? Wow, I have no idea, and it scares me to start thinking about it.

15. If you MUST be an animal for ONE day, what will you be? sogwife's cat. She's so in love with them.

16. Ever had a near death experience? Yes. Once.

17. Name ONE obvious personality quality you have. Exuberant.

18. What's the name of the song that's stuck in your head right now? These questions always chase the song out of my head, and now I have no idea what my earworm was.

19. Are you happy today? So happy. I was angsty earlier, and now I feel all peaceful and great.
