Not too shabby, this day I had today. someotherguy and I had some easy, happy time together (yesterday was not so much with the easy, but still, never been with someone who made life so good and so easy on such a regular basis). The fender-bender we were in with stonebender's car didn't hurt anyone (and did very little damage -- a guy in a van backed into us).

Later, dryadgrl came over and we sat on either side of someotherguy and cuddled and chit-chatted in a really sweet way. She and I have been adjusting to some new dynamics in our friendship, and I think we're doing a damn fine job. I had fun, and it was nice to chat with my friend again. I have some jealousy issues going on, and she and someotherguy have been real sweethearts about it, and I'm sure that's a big factor in the fact that I was so happy today. It's so easy to be happy when I can be myself, my real self, with no bullshit or faking, and the people in my life still love and take care of me.

(My other three sweeties have been wonderful, too -- they have gotten a bit less (and, in some cases, a lot less) of my attention the last couple of weeks, and they've been nothing but supportive.)

But right now I just want to express my gratitude for someotherguy, who makes me feel like who I am is a perfectly wonderful person to be. Considering the weight I put on his opinion, that's a really huge deal for me.

Life is good. And challenging and exciting and fun and passionate and a royal pain in the ass sometimes. But mostly, life is good.

Tomorrow, the jobhunt begins in earnest (not that I haven't already put in lots of resumes and stuff, but I was doing it in my spare time -- tomorrow, finding a job becomes my job). Wish me luck, and have a good Tuesday.

Saturday Himself and I had a glitch. There was some pretty heavily freighted conversation, because the one of the few things less fun than having to point out that someone owes you an apology is being the person being pointed out to. (If that parses at all.)

And, really, it happens to us so rarely that most of the ouchfulness involved was our surprise at it happening to us.

But it got sorted fairly quickly and then we had a shared wry moment of 'well, that's done, good on us' and smiled. And we spent a few minutes being pleased at each other and at ourselves for handling it well.
