Note to self: Assemble an earthquake kit soon.

It's not enough to deal with the natural catastrophes that actually happen, you have to build your own, too?

How do you go about causing earthquakes, anyway?

best,

Joel. Who will happily return your leg if it comes off in his hand.

I guess I'm going to look awful silly carrying your leg around.

Is it ticklish?

best,

Joel

She does have two legs, you know; you could pull on the other one.

best,

Joel. Who'd offer to pull yours instead, but the lizard icon indicates they're too short to get much of a grip on.

what do you keep in an earthquake kit?

Water, food, blanket, flashlight, radio, batteries -- stuff like that. I used to have one in my house and one in the car. Lately, seismic stuff is hoppin' out here, so I should return to that habit.

I've fone quite a bit of research on that project.... here's the best place I've found: http://www.areyouprepared.com/family_survival_kit.html

Also, check out: http://www.ki4u.com/free_book/s73p911.htm (It's no "Duck & Cover")

Yeah, I was bored.

Note the playing cards included in the kit. A good reminder to include some travel games, etc. Keep boredom from becoming anarchy (not that a bit of anarchy is bad).
