Updatey goodness or something
Jun. 19th, 2005 12:07 amI like the Ikea job fine. My feet, however, hate it. And I have two more days on them before a day off. Oy. By the end of the night, my sore feet were all I could think of. I wanted to go home so badly. Fortunately, I am so busy at that job that the time goes pretty quickly.
Some emotional baggage I've been dealing with lately had a perfect opportunity to kick my ass today, and it decided not to. In fact, where I held my breath and braced for possible bad feelings, there was nothing but peace and joy. I cannot tell you how nice that was. And yeah, if you think you know what I'm talking about, you're probably right.
Had a *wonderful* (if brief) time waking up with
someotherguy, having breakfast (my first attempt at potato pancakes), and heading off to the Temescal Street Fair, which was nicer than last year's (I missed last year's, but he went). It is so good when I have time to just spend one-on-one time with my sweeties. It was only an hour or so, but it was restorative, as it often is. A lot of smooching, a lot of laughing. I like our life. We chose a street fair over sex -- does this mean we're married? ;-)
Have been able to reconnect some with
lcohen lately, at least in email, and hope to do the same with my other friends. This week may not be in the cards, though, as Ikea has me working five long days this week, and I need -- no, *require* -- the other two days to spend with my sweeties.
Happy Father's Day to those who celebrate it.
