answers to my own survey
Jul. 7th, 2005 03:37 pmAs usual, I made the questions without thinking about how I would answer
them, so I may be stumped on one or two:
1. How many times have you moved from one city/town/state/country to
another? What was your best/happiest/easiest move?
Let's see...
best/happiest/easiest move was probably the one to Oakland. Second in the
best/happiest competition was El Cajon to San Diego, but it may lose the
competition for easiest.
2. Tell about someone who makes you think the world is a good place.
Penn & Teller approach the
world with humor and a sick twist that appeal to me, while helping people
to see that they should question what they believe. I don't think they're
impartial, really -- their Libertarian bias shows a lot of the time -- but
they ask hard questions and try to find the answers, and I love that.
3. Name three things about you that are attractive to you about other
people.
Curvy hips, enthusiasm, and integrity.
4. What does the word "feminist" mean to you?
A person who believes that women not only should be treated as equals,
they *are* equals to men.
5. What is your most-recently-visited non-LJ URL today?
My webmail: http://serenepages.org/webmail
6. What did you eat for dinner last night?
Hm. Let me think. I don't think I had dinner.
someotherguy was
hungry, but I wasn't, so I made him scallops and green beans, with a plum
and some leftover wheat-berry salad. Later, he had Swedish meatballs, and I stole some of his French fries.
7. Tell us a joke.
Why did the chewing gum cross the road? It was stuck to the chicken's foot.
8. You have ten minutes to make a mix tape of ten songs. Don't take more
than ten minutes. Make your desert-island mix tape; ten songs you think
you could listen to over and over and over.
[Note, if the lover the song reminds me of is not with me, I don't want
the song.]
Hideout (Sarah Harmer)
First Kiss (TMBG)
American Pie (Don MacLean)
Vincent (ditto)
Bohemian Rhapsody (Queen)
Luba, the Baroness (Joan Baez)
Carey (Joni Mitchell)
Traffic (Richard Shindell)
Flying Red Horse (John Gorka)
Gypsy (Suzanne Vega)
9. What's your first memory involving siblings? If you don't have
siblings, what's your first memory involving either cousins or childhood
friends?
My first memory, period, is going to see my mother at the hospital when
she had one of my brothers (probably the older one; I was probably almost
3). She had on bright red lipstick.
10. Given four hours alone in your house, what are you likely to do?
Clean up, play online, lie in bed and read.
