These day-off things are lovely
Jul. 17th, 2005 08:13 amAnother day off yesterday. I could get used to this. Spent most of the day cleaning the house and having me-time, which was lovely. Walked to the Berkeley Bowl with
someotherguy, by way of the coffee shop. Had
dryadgrl and
golden_c_turtle over for dinner of soy/ginger tilapia, store-bought potstickers, cute adorable (and yummy) rice balls that
someotherguy made, and cucumber salad (that
someotherguy also made). Also lovely greek yogurt and honey that
dryadgrl brought -- sweetie, we still have your honey (and the lemon juice from when you made hollandaise that time).
Then we played "Killer Bunnies," which is a lot of work to learn -- the bestest-funnest part was listening to a scornful rendition of the rules by
dryadgrl. Those people really cannot write for shit. And then I passed up on the opportunity to disable
golden_c_turtle, and she beat us (by, as it turns out, random chance -- what a long way to go for the luck of the draw!).
Then we played "Apples to Apples," which was way easier and more fun. People were cute and lovey and funny. Kettle corn was made and eaten. Treacherous winning was had by
golden_c_turtle, over and over and over. She is a total doll. And then lots of girltalk was had while
someotherguy attempted to get some work done. I have always enjoyed talking with
dryadgrl, and it's been a while.
Way fun. We've missed having people over, and we should do it more.
