Typical conversation around here:

"I don't think we're supposed to be this happy. We're broke, working too much, and in our forties (well, almost for me)."

"Nope, I think it's against the rules."

"Oh, well. Fuck 'em."

"Yep."


It's been a relatively hard summer. Too much work, not enough time or money, and hard stuff happening in my family (local and non). Still. Very happy. It's probably against some rule somewhere, but fuck 'em.

I don't like to say "fuck 'em". Fucking's too good for enemies. Why wish a good thing on them? I say "Fail to fuck them!". Instead of "fuck" by itself, I say "lack of fuck"!
