Some Randy Newman that I threw away because I thought it was broken, but really I hadn't pushed the "cassette" button on the stereo.

Mary Chapin Carpenter, "State of the Heart"

"Traffic From Paradise", Rickie Lee Jones

The "Footloose" soundtrack

"Sweet Baby James" (Taylor, of course)

And now "Chuck E.'s In Love" is playing (From Rickie Lee Jones's self-titled album).

I'm all happy bouncy with the musicky goodness. Whatcha listenin' to?

Actually, at the very moment I saw this post, Paul Schutze's "In the Absence of Angels," was on, which is probably my single favourite song.

I've had iTunes in party-shuffle mode for the last few days...at the moment it's playing me "If I Were a Bell" performed by Linda Kosut, who happens to be my partner's aunt *and* a splendid cabaret singer. Before that was Phil Ochs, "Here's to the State of Mississippi"--yay, left-wing political snarkiness. :-)
