sereneThe local coffeeshop needs someone to run their Thursday night spoken-word experiment (they've just started staying open late on Thursdays for it, and they have only one monthly Thursday thing lined up so far). I'm discussing it with the owner. I have a question, though (for the locals, mainly):

I haven't dipped my foot in the local poetry scene since I moved here. I *loved* running the San Diego Slam with my ex and her friend, but it's been a while, and I may be thinking of biting off more than I can chew. Thoughts?
